The Development and Testing of a Control Law for Automatic Formation Control of QF-9J Target Aircraft,

Abstract

This report documents analysis, design, and testing of a control law for controlling the relative spacing of two QF-9J target aircraft in a precise formation. The analysis and design, which produced the control concept and control equations as programmed into the digital control computer, included a six-degree-of-freedom simulation of the QF-9J aircraft on an analog computer.
