System/Cost Effectiveness Notebook. Volume I.

Abstract

The program had as its objective the development of a system/cost effectiveness notebook. It was intended that the notebook would serve as a primer in the areas of interest; to contain and expand in detail upon the mechanics of the analysis concept; to contain most of the tools necessary to apply the concept; to provide examples of how the concept could be applied; and to contain the latest state-of-the-art developments in the area. The final report contains necessary background for analysis, detailed guidance, and examples pertinent to analysis and integration of the availability, dependability, and capability parameters. It contains summaries and details of the tools presently available for system effectiveness analysis, optimization, apportionment, management, and demonstration as well as examples of system effectiveness analyses.
