Inhalation Toxicity of 1,1,2-Trichloro-1,2,2-Trifluoroethane (TCTFE).

Abstract

Acute single 6-hour exposure of rats and dogs to 11000-13000 ppm 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (TCTFE) vapors caused central nervous system effects. Effects were quickly reversed when animals were exposed to fresh air. No significant changes occurred in dogs, guinea pigs and rats as a result of repeated exposures 6 hours per day 5 days per week for 4 weeks to 5100 ppm TCTFE vapors. (Author)
