Techniques and Industrial Expectations in Large Scale Integration.

Abstract

A study was made of industry's present and future expectations, problems and approaches to large scale integration. These included discretionary wiring, fixed interconnect, pad relocation, and silicon-on-sapphire techniques. Present indications of increased reliability, reduced size and weight, and future reduced costs show excellent potential for a new, useful technology to be applied to military avionics equipment.
