Research and Engineering Studies and Analyses of Fan Engine Stall, Dynamic Interaction with other Subsystems and System Performance.

Abstract

The objectives of this research and engineering program are related to the performance and operational problems of augmented turbofan engines in high-speed flight. The various areas investigated are: Distorted and unsteady flow effects on axial flow compressor and stall characteristics; Data handling and analysis techniques; Investigations on other dynamic aspects of engines.
