Initial Production Test of Truck, Forklift, 4,000 Lbs, GED, SRT.

Abstract

The test items were two trucks, forklift, solid rubber tires, 4000 pound capacity at 24 inch load center, powered by a QPL gasoline engine that were identical except for the mast assembly. One truck had a maximum lift of 180 inches and the other had a 100 inch maximum lift height. Testing was conducted by the U. S. Army General Equipment Test Activity at Fort Lee, Virginia with the 100 inch lift capacity truck being used for all testing to satisfy the requirements of MIL-STD-268C and the 180 inch lift capacity truck being used for all operational performance tests.
