Evaluation of X-89 and TI-680 Silicon Rectifiers by Comparison with 6X4W and 6X4WA Vacuum-Tube Rectifiers.

Abstract

During the observation period covered by the report, the developmental X-89 silicon rectifier and its commercial version TI-680 have demonstrated a significantly superior reliability to that of their vacuum-tube counterparts, type 6X4W and 6X4WA, in power supplies with various types of circuits and load characteristics, whether the equipments are used aboard ship, in aircraft, or on the ground.
