Advanced Array Research.

Abstract

A qualitative summary is presented of the objectives, results, and conclusions of eight research tasks directed toward the development of advanced seismic array data processing techniques. An appendix gives abstracts of ten special reports which present the quantitative results and detailed descriptions of the experiments. Tasks reported are: adaptive processing techniques, long-period studies, NORSAR signal and noise analysis, minimum-phase equalization, high-resolution wavenumber spectral techniques, analysis of WMO noise spectral lines, and prediction of array processing gains through array expansion.
