Methods and Procedures for Economic Analysis of Proposed Government Investments,

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a cost methodology with the methods, procedures, and techniques for use in economic analysis of weapon systems which may have to be justified by trading off forces equal in present value of assets retired from the force, unamortized value of new equipment at the end of the costing period, the proper treatment of retirement pay and the differential effect of price changes for new equipment as compared with increases in military pay and allowances.
