B-47 Approach Control Parachute.

Abstract

The purpose of the report is to present information and basic data concerning the parachutes used in the in-flight approach control tests of a B-47 aircraft. This program was established to provide the pilot with a device which would facilitate landings under marginal weather conditions and on airfields having short runways. (Author)
