Abstract

The report contains a summary of all activities and significant findings associated with, or emanating from, the Closure Analysis and Test Study. Candidate closure operating concepts consisting of the closure structure, bearing support, debris removal/handling system, actuation system, power system, and closure locking system are presented, and factors influencing the selection of two final configurations are discussed.
