Automatic Initial Mesh Distribution for PUFF 66.

Abstract

The report details the changes to the computer code PUFF 66 when routines for generating an initial mesh distribution for the finite difference Lagrangian coordinate system are added. These routines make the PUFF 66 code easier to use by simplifying the input deck structure and by eliminating the need for the user to calculate by hand the parameters needed to specify the coordinate system. This improves the code by eliminating many potential mistakes the program user may make, and by always providing a mesh distribution that is complementary to the finite difference equations used in PUFF 66.
