Initial Production Test of Shop Equipment, Contact Maintenance, Contract DAAK01-68-C-6230.
Abstract
Test objectives were to determine: if the performance and maintenance characteristics of the test item meet user requirements; if the shop equipment can be adequately maintained with tools, repair parts, and manuals authorized using units or direct and general support maintenance units; if any additions or deletions to the tools provided with the shop equipment would improve the contact maintenance repair capabilities. Three test items were tested for a total of 275 test hours (includes 25.5 hours of welder and light set operation, and 10.1 hours of air compressor operation), and 2,280.6 miles of travel on paved, dirt, and gravel roads.
