GEMINI-MVS Digital Computer Program,

Abstract

This document reflects the progress to date on the formulation of a digital program to perform six-dimensional, closed-loop, guided reentry simulations of the Gemini B vehicle. The resultant program, called the Gemini-Modularized Vehicle Simulation (MVS) Program, models the reentry phase of the Program 632A Gemini spacecraft from initiation of retrograde time prediction to recovery system deployment. This program is an essential tool in scientific and coding validation of the McDonnell Module IV computer software. To be found in this memorandum are descriptions of the overall Gemini-MVS program as to its programming philosophy, modules, and input-output formats and recommendations for updating the program to reflect recent 632A status changes.
