Service Test of Crew-Served Weapons Night Vision Sight under Arctic Winter Conditions.

Abstract

A Service Test of the Crew-Served Weapon Night Vision Sight was conducted by the U. S. Army Arctic Test Center, Fort Greely, Alaska, from 13 November 1968 to 15 April 1969. The test was conducted to determine suitability of the Sight for U. S. Army use and whether the Sight mounted on a .50 caliber machinegun and a 106mm recoilless rifle is functional in temperatures of -10 F to the lowest a ailable.
