Extravehicular Crew Transfer Test Report July 1968.

Abstract

On 4 December 1968, a zero 'g' test was made at Wright-Patterson AFB to evaluate procedures and equipment. The test objectives were to evaluate: Alternate D-ring designs. EV ingress through the right hatch into the left seat with a DRC in the footwell. Push-off load test to determine maximum loads and velocities attained by crewman in inflated PSA. Two alternate D-ring designs were evaluated during the test, a pivoting slide and a slide loop. (Author)
