Internal Conversion Electrons from the Decay of Sb124 to Te124.

Abstract

Sources of Sb124 were produced by neutron irradiation of enriched Sb123 deposited by vacuum sublimation onto aluminum foil backings. The internal conversion spectrum was observed with a beta-ray spectrometer. Transitions energies (in ke V) for the conversion lines were observed. K-shell internal conversion coefficients were calculated using previously published relative gamma-ray intensities. Limitations were assigned to a sub K for some low intensity transitions. Possible spin, parity, and multipolarity assignments were made from the a sub K values.
