Multiplexing of Delta Modulated Signals. Volume 2.

Abstract

This Appendix details the methods which were adopted to obtain the data required to make an evaluation of various models incorporating techniques for multiplexing delta modulated signals. It includes descriptions of both subjective and objective tests. The former tests include speech intelligibility, voice quality and speaker recognition tests. The latter involve data transmission, dynamic range and other electrical tests. Many of the tests were carried out on both single channel modulator-demodulators and multiplexer models to provide a measure of the performance of the multiplexing techniques.
