Dynamic Characteristics of Cascaded Pneumatic Transmission Lines.

Abstract

This thesis is the fifth in a series of studies conducted at AFIT for the purpose of determining the amplitude frequency response characteristics of pneumatic transmission lines. The main objective of this study was to obtain experimental results in areas not covered by the previous works. Specifically, lines of cross-sectional area less than 0.0045 sq in. and lengths less than 60 in. were to be tested. Experiments were conducted, both with and without net air flow, on lines of circular cross section. A line of square cross section, in which there was no net air flow, was also tested. (Author)
