Plasma Diagnostics on the ELMAX.

Abstract

The purpose of this work was to perform a preliminary survey of the parameters of the Argon plasma formed in two distinct modifications of the ELMAX facility. To this end, electric probe and spectroscopic techniques were used to acquire electron temperature and ion density. Floated electric probes were used to acquire information on the rf environment generated by the plasma. A diffusion plasma yielded a one-temperature distribution which varied radially, along with electron density and the frequency of the detected rf wave. (Author)
