A Method of Automatic Station-Keeping for Fixed-Wing Aircraft.

Abstract

The control laws to be used for automatic station-keeping of a slave drone target in formation flight are presented, together with a discussion of control-law response to various stimuli. The study demonstrates the feasibility of the automatic station-keeping of the BQM-34A aerial target and provides a method of automatic station-keeping for many types of fixed-wing aircraft used in drone operations.
