Advanced Transmitter and Control Techniques.

Abstract

The purpose of the project was to investigate, design, and build a working model of a 20 watt electronically tuned transmitter covering the 225 - 400 MHz band. Consideration was to be given to size, weight, power reliability, and heat dissipation requirements. Several alternatives were investigated but the main effort was concentrated on a wide range VCO. A study program was also conducted to analyze the various state-of-the-art frequency synthesizers and establish the feasibility of the most efficient system. (Author)
