Monte Carlo Procedures for Transport of X-Rays and Fluorescent Light Through a Spherical, Altitude-Dependent Atmosphere: Vol. III, Fluorescent Light Transport.

Abstract

The procedure that was developed to generate the fluorescent light source from ZAP calculated energy deposition rates and the FLASH procedure that was developed to compute the atmospheric transport of the fluorescent light to arbitrarily placed receivers in an altitude dependent spherical shell geometry atmosphere are described in this Volume. The FLASH code computes the time and angular distributions of the fluorescent light intensities at receiver positions placed either inside or outside of the atmosphere. (Author)
