Integrated Engineering and Service Test, Tropic, of Canteen, Collapsible, Two-Quart with Cup and Cover.

Abstract

The purpose of this test was to determine the suitability for US Army use of all components of the canteen system in the humid tropic environment. Testing was conducted under humid tropic conditions. Test participants were representative of those individuals who would normally use the canteen. Tests were conducted to determine the items' functional suitability, availability, reliability, and its operational and storage characteristics. Testing indicated that the cup and modified cover are compatible with the canteen bladder. The modified cover is fabricated from heavy nylon duck and is lined with acrylic fiber pile.
