Centaur Intermediate Bulkhead Model Tank Heat Transfer Study,

Abstract

The ambient heat input into the Centaur tank must be calibrated and controlled at known values in order to determine the heat transfer across the intermediate bulkhead. The objective of the test was to evaluate proposed insulation techniques on a model tank to determine the best means of providing thermoisolation for the 'intermediate bulkhead evaluation tests' on stub tanks.
