Abstract

TRG presents the results of certain studies and equipment tests carried out during a 6-week program conducted at its Melville, Long Island plant and aboard the U. S. Coast Guard Icebreaker Mackinaw on Lake Superior. This program was designed to answer questions regarding the feasibility and costs of photographing an operating icebreaker from beneath the hull using techniques developed by TRG for the Navy.
