Microwave synthesis techniques.

Abstract

Experimental measurement procedures have been developed using the automatic network analyzer to characterize transistors used in active filters. Experimental results are presented on a trial design of a VHF negative-impedance converter. The investigation of slot line previously discussed in the September 1969 Annual Report and the May 1969 Semiannual Report has been continued. Synthesis techniques are presented for realizing arbitrary transmission-line reactance functions in four common forms of arrays of coupled lines, together with minor variations of these forms. An approximate procedure is presented for the design of TEM multiplexer channel-dropping-filters.
