Accrued Costs of Depot Overhaul, Wear-Out, and Total-Loss Accidents of Army Equipment.
Abstract
The report develops methods for calculating the costs of depot overhaul and peacetime replacement requirements and demonstrates the application to selected major items of Army equipment. Costs are stated on the basis of units of usage or time. Comparisons are made between costs calculated from historical data and published standards pertaining to overhaul standards and replacement requirements. The study is designed primarily to develop and demonstrate methods rather than to determine fully validated costs. (Author)
