Manufacturing Methods for a Mission Oriented Associative Processor.

Abstract

The objective of this program was to develop manufacturing technology that will provide an optimum compromise among functional, electrical, and manufacturing parameters to meet the cost effectiveness as well as the performance requirements for associative processor systems. The program consisted of a 2-month study phase and a 13-month effort covering the design, manufacturing methods, fabrication, testing, and demonstration of a plated wire associative processor memory module and memory exerciser. A method is discussed for employing an associative processor, operating on the output of a radar digital doppler signal processor (DDSP), to improve moving target discrimination and range ambiguity resolution. Functional and physical requirements for an associative array module were derived from the application study. (Author)
