Determination of an Equitable Temperature Rating and Development of Additional Test Procedures for M81044 Wires.
Abstract
The investigation determined that the specified operating temperatures of the wires were equitable and realistic. Procedures were developed to determine the cut-thru resistance of the various wires. Recommendations were made to revise, upgrade, and clarify various test procedures and parameters covering the wires, notably the Air Oven, Accelerated Aging, Blocking, and Fluid Immersion Tests.
