Computation of Lead Angles for Computed Impact Point (CIP) Mode for an Angular Rate Bombing System.

Abstract

The report discusses and presents equations for an angular rate bombing scheme that computes the 'bomb impact point' and displays it to the pilot. This approach allows the pilot to maneuver during an attack and to accomplish bomb release in a banked turn. Both manual and automatic bomb releases are included in this discussion. (Author)
