Study of Surface Properties of Atomically-Clean Metals and Semiconductors.

Abstract

Results are given for an investigation by LEED of single crystal surfaces of CdSe. They are analyzed in light of previous findings on CdSe crystals of high resistivity. Deductions are made of charge transport properties which lead to photodesorption of oxygen for high resistivity crystals on the one hand and photo-adsorption for high conductivity crystals on the other.
