Determination of Manpower Requirements for Scientists and Engineers

Abstract

The establishment of operational manpower requirements for scientists and engineers is an important function of management. The objective of the research was first to describe and then to analyze this function for improvement. To describe the present procedure, the literature was reviewed; information was requested from industrial firms, professional societies, and governmental agencies; and more than fifty persons were interviewed.
