Extra Flexible Tactical Cable.

Abstract

This program has established material, design, and testing criteria for use in tactical cables. Materials have proven capable of service under extreme mechanical and climatic conditions. Basic design criteria have been proven to be realistic. Testing to destruction philosophy has made possible comparison of failure rate of cable types. Additional effort has been expended in the design and development of a hybrid cable used with existing tactical equipment in Southeast Asia. The new design cable has exhibited satisfactory electrical properties and mechanical properties superior to the tactical cable in present use. (Author)
