Influence of Variability of Apical Clearance of Vanes of an Axial Aviation Compressor Upon Its Gas Dynamic Parameters,

Abstract

The selection and evaluation of the blade tip clearance in axial compressors are discussed. The review is part of an extensive study of blade tip clearances in axial compressors and turbines under various cruising regimes at various engine speeds, and the study of the effect of the clearance on the performance, parameters, and lifetime of aircraft engines. Individual expansions in relation to rotor revolutions in modern jet engine compressors are shown. (Author)
