Quinoxaline Ladder Polymers for High Temperature Laminating Resins and Structural Adhesives.

Abstract

Quinoxaline ladder polymers deived from 2,3-diphenoxy-6,7-diaminoquinoxaline release not more than 90% of the phenol theoretically available from polymerization. Glass cloth reinforced composites prepared from these resins had low flexural strength. 2,3,7,8-Tetrasubstituted-1,4,6,9-tetraazaanthracenes with different vicinal groups were synthesized for copolymerization with 1,2,4,5-tetraaminobenzene. N-Phenyl-substituted quinoxaline ladder polymers have been synthesized by copolymerization of 2,3,7,8-tetraphenoxy- and 2,3,7,8-tetraanilino-1,4,6,9-tetraazaanthracene. (Author, modified-PL).
