Some Physical Chemistry at the Universities of Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Freiburg,

Abstract

Briefly discussed is research at three West German universities. The Physical Chemistry Institute at the University of Heidelberg is particularly concerned with intermolecular forces, that at Karlsruhe with properties at high pressures and the structure of liquids, and that at Freiburg with hydrogen bonding, the X-ray analysis of liquid structure, the chemistry and physics of radicals, and fluorescence spectroscopy.
