Static Wind-Tunnel Tests of the MK 82 Free-Fall Store with Two Modified Stabilizers

Abstract

The Mk 82 is an operational free-fall store in use by the U. S. Navy. This report presents the results of static wind-tunnel tests of two proposed stabilizers for this weapon. The purpose in carrying out these tests was to provide data for a comparison between the currently used stabilizer and the proposed modified stabilizers.
