Data Report Datex II.

Abstract

DATEX II was the first DIHEST shot to employ slurry explosive as a loading source. Forty-one tons of slurry explosive were contained in 29 holes to form a planar explosive array 200 feet long by 36 feet high. Instrumentation consisting of velocity gages, strain gages and accelerometers measured free field ground response between 50 and 185 feet from the explosive array and from depths of 3 to 41 feet. A brief description of the test layout and instrumentation is given along with all instrumentation traces obtained. (Author)
