Reliability of Space Systems,

Abstract

A general discussion is presented on space vehicles. Sources and causes of malfunctions are discussed, and emergency preventive methods are outlined. The types and frequency of occurrence of malfunction in various space vehicles are given in tabulated form. It is pointed out that the actual reliability is lower than the theoretical one. (Author)
