Tensiometric Sensing Element for Measuring Low Pressures,

Abstract

A description is given of a sensor for measuring low pressures based on resistive tensiometers pasted on both sides of a membrane. The measuring system consists of two or four tensiometers which together form one-half or a full Wheatstone bridge circuit. The measuring system uses a cathode-ray-or loop-oscillograph, and also sensitivity indicating meters. The sensors can be used for laboratory studies and in automatic regulation systems. They are most suitable for measuring and recording low, time-variable pressures. (Author)
