Development of LP Wave Discrimination Capability Using LP Strain Instruments

Abstract

The report discusses the progress during October, November, and December, 1969, in designing vertical and horizontal long-period (LP) strain seismographs with gain and response characteristics equivalent to those of the advanced LP inertial instruments. The designed instruments are to be used in conjunction with inertial seismographs to develop techniques for discrimination of LP seismic waves.
