Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis of Selected MALLARD System Design.

Abstract

The Electro-magnetic Compatibility Analysis Model (EMCAM) developed as a result of TD 25 Phase 1 Mallard provided a usable interference prediction process incorporating the most significant features of EMC analytic techniques. It is now required that the U.K. EMC Analysis Facility be applied during the period of TD 228 in the following main areas of interest: (1) To perform the EMC analyses of deployments of direct interest to the United Kingdom; and (2) to provide a service to U.K. (and possibly Australian and Canadian) MALLARD equipment designers to assist them in formulating designs which achieve EMC within the expected environment. The aim is to establish an iterative design loop embracing the EMC facility, equipment designers and system planners concerned with frequency assignment and deployments.
