Analysis of SECOR Data. Volume I.

Abstract

The results of a simulation of SECOR and BC-4 sensors collocated at seven sites and tracking the GEOS B satellite is presented. The purpose of the simulation was to determine what improvement in solution accuracies could be obtained by combining ranging and optical systems. The report also presents the results of the reprocessing of 23 passes of SECOR data. The reprocessing of the data was initiated due to the fact that new calibration constants were obtained from Army Map Service. The data was corrected for the new calibration constants and was then processed to obtain the ambiguity levels and to determine if there was a timing error and residual ionospheric refraction.
