Abstract

The West German Research Laboratories in Air and Space Flight (DVL) has a number of Institutes carrying on studies in a wide range of areas. The Institute for Flight Medicine (IF), under the direction of Professor Siegfried Ruff, continues to be active in medical and marine biological studies, air and space medicine and biology, physiology of altitude and depth, and aviation psychology. Some of these studies are reviewed in brief. (Author)
