Lightweight Helicopter-Mounted Searchlight System (ENSURE-260).

Abstract

Two different lightweight helicopter-mounted searchlights were evaluated by the ACTIV from 22 June to 20 August 1969. The purpose of the evaluation was to determine the overall suitability of these lights for night search and target acquisition missions in the Republic of Vietnam. Five aviation units used both the lights in a variety of missions. (Author)
