Ultra High Speed Microcircuit Prescaler.

Abstract

The purpose of the contract is to develop the theory and methods required to fabricate microcircuit ultra high speed prescalers or divide-by-five counters capable of operating reliably from 225 to 400 MHz and to design, fabricate, test, and deliver 20 operational units with complete characterization of their static and dynamic electrical parameters, including transmission line requirements. A full monolithic approach will be used to provide the highest reliability and low cost (when produced in large quantities). At least one flip flop of the prescaler will be capable of counting reliably from 225 to 400 MHz. The applications for these prescalers will include integrated uhf frequency synthesizers, digital matched filters, and high speed LSI counters. (Author)
