Abstract

The report discusses the applicability of certain computational and analytical solutions to the problem of the response of viscoelastic solids subjected to impulsive energy deposition by means of electromagnetic radiation. In particular the relevance of the wave codes TOODY II-A and WONDY III and the analytic solutions of Hegemier and Moreland to the problems of solid propellant motors are pointed out. (Author)
