User's Manual. Volume 4. Vehicle Deformation Program (NOSED).
Abstract
The report is one of six volumes providing user's manuals for a series of computer programs developed for the Air Force Weapons Laboratory by McDonnell Douglas Corporation. The program described in this volume calculates the Newtonian drag, ablation mass loss and mass loss rate, and the shape of an ablating axisymmetric reentry vehicle with a high ballistic coefficient. The report describes the theory and calculation procedure for the program and presents samples of program input and output. (Author)
