Electron-Beam Activation of Photochromic Materials Through Lenard Windows.

Abstract

With sufficiently high acceleration voltages, 30 kV or better, an image with a resolution of approximately 8 lines/mm may be written through a Lenard window in a suitable electron-sensitive material. Borderline feasibility exists for the construction of a device containing a Lenard window of suitable aperture for use in a visual-display application, depending upon advancement of the state-of-the-art in the use of the Lenard window.
